1.Data we keep
We keep only what the service needs to work:
- Account: email, password (stored as a hash, never as text), @handle, name, language, creation date and your acceptance of these documents (version and date).
- Profile: bio, links, photo and the platforms you play on.
- What you do on Playthrough: library, play diary, reviews and their versions, votes and likes, favorites, lists, guides and checklist progress, who you follow and block and the reports you file.
- Moderation: warnings, suspensions and the recorded reasons.
- Technical: session cookies, preferences stored in your browser and minimal server logs, for security and troubleshooting.
2.What we use it for
We use your data to provide the service you asked for when you created the account (performance of a contract) and, when needed, on legitimate interest, as in security, fraud prevention and moderation.
- Showing your profile and what you publish, respecting your privacy choices.
- Computing game scores, rankings and statistics, always in aggregate.
- Sending service emails: confirmation codes, password resets, warnings and suspensions.
- Protecting the service from abuse, applying activity limits and reviewing reports.
- Meeting legal obligations.
3.What is public and what you control
Your profile, reviews, public lists and published guides can be seen by anyone, even without an account. In Settings you can make your profile private and hide your library and diary. Lists can be unlisted or private, and guide drafts are only visible to you. People you block can't see your profile.
We don't sell your data, show ads or use third-party trackers.
4.Who we share it with
We share data only with those who help us run the service, and only what is needed: the provider of the server where Playthrough runs, the email delivery service and image storage. These providers may process data outside Brazil, with the safeguards required by the LGPD.
Game information comes from IGDB; we don't send your personal data to it. We may also share data with authorities when the law requires it.
6.How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete the account, sessions, profile and photo, library and diary, reviews, lists and guides, votes and likes, who you follow and block, the reports filed by you and about you and the moderation decisions about your account. In decisions you took as a moderator, your name is removed.
Confirmation codes are valid for 15 minutes. Technical logs and backups may keep data for a limited time until they are replaced.
7.Your rights
The LGPD gives you the right to confirm and access your data, correct it, take it to another service, ask for its deletion, know who it was shared with and object to uses that aren't necessary. On Playthrough:
- Export data, in Settings, downloads a file with everything we keep about you.
- Edit profile corrects your account and profile data.
- Delete account, in Settings, deletes your data as described above.
- You can also file a complaint with Brazil's National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).
8.Security
Passwords are stored as hashes, session tokens live in cookies JavaScript can't read and the connection is encrypted. No system is fully immune to failures; if something serious happens, we will notify whoever is affected.
9.Children and teenagers
Playthrough is for people aged 13 or older. If we learn that an account belongs to someone younger, it will be deleted.
10.Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, we publish a new version, let you know on the site and in the app and ask you to accept it.
